Going All the Way: Miles WeShare

WeShare soon to belong to Miles

The sharing platform for electric vehicles WeShare was founded by car manufacturer VW in 2019 and runs in Hamburg and Berlin. Now VW has sold the brand to carsharing platform Miles, a company based in Berlin who already operate in eight German cities and also in Brussels and Gent in Belgium. As ntv reports, Miles already uses many VWs, but most Miles vehicles so far are old-fashioned combustion cars. With the acquisition of WeShare Miles is not only gaining customers, who will be migrated into the Miles system, but is also taking a significant step towards the electrification of their fleet, which sits well with their stated “strategy towards sustainable urban transport.” As Miles explains, both WeShare and MILES customers will continue to enjoy the mobility services, now in new cities and with more vehicles.
