On The Road To Success: Rocket’s InstaFreight
InstaFreight is a digital one-stop shop for road freight-forwarding and transport management across Europe, founded in 2016 under Rocket’s roof as InstaCargo. The simple idea is to connect companies that need to shift some goods to haulers that pick it up and deliver it, be it a single pallet or a whole truckful. Shipping companies and carriers connect their systems to the InstaFreight platform via API. One of the founders, logistics expert Gion-Otto Presser-Velder, unfortunately died before he could see the company grow. Nonetheless co-founder Philipp Ortwein has managed to lead the company from funding round to funding round. Now InstaFreight has, as deutsche startups reports, gathered a fresh €40 M, with which it intends to consolidate its European land transport offering in times of strained supply chains due to the pandemic and the war in the Ukraine.
