Berlin-based AI startup clare&me has secured €3.7 million in funding to advance its AI-powered mental health platform. The company's chatbot, designed for clinical use, has shown promising results in improving users' mental well-being.

The fresh capital will be invested in refining the chatbot's empathetic language model and developing a new tool to automate clinical interviews. These initiatives aim to enhance collaboration with healthcare providers and boost patient trust.

A study conducted in partnership with Charité Berlin revealed that regular interactions with the clare&me chatbot led to significant improvements in stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness. The results also suggest the development of a therapeutic relationship between users and the AI.

The funding round was led by YZR and included participation from Kodori Ventures, Material Ventures, and existing investors. Additionally, clare&me has received grants to support its research into developing the world's first Clinical Large Language Model (CLLM).

"We're thrilled to have the support of investors who share our vision of accessible mental healthcare," said Emilia Theye, CEO of clare&me. "This funding will enable us to continue developing AI that delivers real, lasting benefits to users."

clare&me's mission is to break down barriers to mental health care by providing affordable, accessible, and effective AI-powered therapy. The company aims to address the global mental health crisis by offering a scalable solution that complements traditional treatment options.
