Checkly, a leading provider of synthetic monitoring for modern DevOps teams, announced a $20 million Series B funding round led by Balderton Capital, with participation from existing investors Accel and CRV. The funding will be used to accelerate the development of Checkly's Monitoring as Code platform, expand its team, and introduce new features like Checkly Traces.

Checkly's mission is to enable engineers to detect and resolve issues ten times faster. Its Monitoring as Code approach empowers development teams to configure, understand, and own their monitoring within their own repositories. This innovative approach has driven significant growth, with over 1,000 companies and thousands of developers using Checkly daily.

The newly introduced Checkly Traces feature combines synthetic monitoring with OpenTelemetry to provide engineers with a comprehensive view of their systems and accelerate issue resolution. By correlating synthetic checks with backend and infrastructure telemetry data, developers can quickly identify and address problems.

"We are thrilled to partner with Checkly as they continue to revolutionize the monitoring space," said Colin Hanna, Partner at Balderton Capital. "Their commitment to empowering engineers with the tools they need to build reliable and performant applications is truly inspiring."
