Berlin is set to strengthen its position as a leading deep tech hub with the establishment of a new center dedicated to fostering groundbreaking technological innovations. This initiative, announced in a press release, is a collaboration between the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, and MotionLab.Berlin. The Deep Tech Hub aims to support the development of cutting-edge technologies, assist startups in market entry, and connect them with potential investors.

Dr. Stefan Franzke, CEO of Berlin Partner, emphasized, "Berlin's dense network of universities, research institutions, incubators, and accelerators offers great potential for deep tech innovations. Our focus on digitization, robotics, and quantum technology is crucial for Berlin's economic growth."

The Deep Tech Hub will provide startups and SMEs with development spaces and prototyping facilities starting June 2024. Members will gain access to industry events, workshops, and a digital database of key production and engineering contacts from September 2024. This membership aims to bridge the gap between research and the market, accelerating the development and commercialization of new technologies.

According to the European Deep Tech Report 2023 by Dealroom.co, Berlin ranks among Europe's top deep tech clusters. The city's rich ecosystem includes nearly 30 universities and over 80 research institutions, making it a prime location for innovation. With a strong focus on areas like AI and blockchain, Berlin continues to attract and nurture deep tech startups.
