Though founded in 2018, the Berlin-based e-scooter rental startup TIER Mobility is already profitable and received Series C funding last year. With a valuation of $2 billion, TIER has now acquired bike-sharing startup Nextbike, Techstartups reports. Together they will have Europe’s largest micro-mobility fleet with more than 250,000 vehicles in over 400 cities. A “unique opportunity to take bikeshare to the next level, getting more people out of cars and offering the most sustainable mobility solution”, says Lawrence Leuschner, CEO and Co-Founder of TIER.
