Playing Their Cards Right: Pliant Round

A focused concept – Pliant provides corporate credit cards

Straight up: Pliant founders Fabian Terner and Malte Rau – © pliant

Focusing on doing one thing well is Pliant’s strategy to success, and it seems to be working. Offering corporate Visa credit cards, plastic or virtual, via their platform, the Berlin fintech startup has just raked in $28M in series A funding. Pliant is expanding their B2B client base into several European countries. Their trick is ease of implementation and the interconnectivity of the solution with existing tech stacks the clients already use. The ability to plug into other tools has led to Pliant being integrated into products by other companies, such as Candis, an invoice management software company, and Circula, a travel expense and employee benefits software provider (both from Berlin, by the way). More in the Pliant press release.
